Laser Hair Removal

Unwanted hair is one of the most widespread causes for concern within todays' fashion culture.  Men and women of today are looking for alternatives to waxing and shaving.  Intense Pulse Light is a fantastic alternative offering permanent reduction in hair growth, without the side effects of the more conventional therapies such as epilating, waxing and electrolysis.

The intense pulse light technology is non coherent laser.  After consultation the level of treatment is carefully selected, the external applicator is then applied to the outer skin.  A light passes through the applicator to the area being treated targeting the hair follicles, with minimum damage to the skin or other tissues.

It is recommended that a period of 3-4 weeks after sun exposure is allowed to maximise the effectiveness of the treatments.  Very occasionally some patients feel a mild discomfort whilst being treated.  To achieve the desired result several treatments are required, usually at a 3-4 week intervals.  The results vary according to skin and hair colour, the most effective combination being pale skin with dark hair.

The first visit consists of a consultation and a patch test free of charge, thereafter each treatment is usually completed within half an hour.
